22 Aug

Mystery rose. Tall. Subtle striping. Strong fruity fragrance. Any ideas...?One of Moore's... name escapes me at the moment.
I can't say enough good about Arthur Bell
A scrumptious looking orange tomato. I think it's a cross between yellow pear and an unknown red.

20 Aug.

I'm liking the color on this seedling.

That VD rose after it ages.
Arthur Bell has turn out to be a fantastic no-spray rose here in TN, with nice fragrance to boot.

Miscellaneous

Butterfly bushes tend to seed naturally in my yard. I try to pot them and do something with them. This is one that has a different color than the others.
Another rooted VD rose.

Amaryllids

It's not just all about roses even though they tend to give the easiest and quickest reward. I try to hybridize alot of things. Yellow lilies are an example. Here's another.

Apparent seed pods on Lycoris squamigera. Perhaps a hybrid with a blue Agapanthus (intentional). No guarantees on that's what they are... or that I will have germination.

My experience with amaryllids is that one can go many years without seed and then out of the blue they will produce some.
Seedlings from above.
Lycoris radiata
An example of seed pods.

The pom pom thing. Rain weighing it down heavily.

Moore's Striped Rugosa. I am so glad to have gotten this.

3 Aug

It's very double- like I said. I keep hearing in my head, "cabbage on a stick." I think this is what sells though.
