Petal Shapes

This is one of the valentines day florist roses I rooted. Notice the petals flute in a 'V' (to give the bud exhibition style shape).

'Pink Peace' which I just purchased for $5.00 at Kmart yesterday. The petals are just mostly rounded and not very defined. Because of its fragrance I was thinking of using it to cross against my Carefree Beauty seedling below.
The petals are mostly dimpled.

But this has to be one of the better petal shapes which I will have to end up eventually incorporating into above.

  1. Midas Touch is a good seed parent and pollen is plentiful. I used it both ways. Wonderful fragrance that passes to decendents, use it for that alone. :)
